Shop local….blah, blah, blah.
You and I have heard this saying over and over again. “Shop local.”
Does it matter?
I honesty thought this was a nice thought and a marketing gimmick.
But then I changed my mind when my husband and I became business owners!🤣
Benefits of Shopping Locally:
“Small businesses donate 250% more than large businesses to local nonprofits and community causes, creating a positive cycle of giving back locally. This includes local charities, youth organizations, local first responders, local service groups and more.”
“Local store owners value each of their customers, and their very livelihood hangs on your own happiness.”
Bread
Speaking of local, Bread is one of our favorite, local coffee shops in Durango!
They sell sandwiches, coffee, teas, pastries, breads, and desserts. It’s cozy inside, and makes a great hangout for brunch or coffee with friends.
The heavenly baked goods and breads are all made from scratch.
When you visit Bread, pick up one of everything! It’s all so good!
Conclusion
Shopping locally does matter. Local businesses truly care about you, taking care of you, and supporting the local community. I hope we’ll all shop locally whenever we can!
